Camper Reveal {part one}

Oh my gosh! I can't type fast enough. I'm so excited not only to share this reveal with y'all but, to actually be done with this camper so we can hit the road! Today I'll be sharing all the photos of the new interior in the camper and then Wednesday I have some cool before and after shots that really showcase how far we have come since purchasing this little camper and I'll give a source list with that post also.

The most important element for me in this reveal is not to show off this camper, but it's an inspiration post on how you can take a little ole something and transform it into a luxury, even while on a shoestring budget. Remember back to this post {A Camper Crush}, we started dreaming and saving waaaaaay back last year. It took lots of patience and prayer to have this little dream come to fruition. But we finally have reached our goal and it's all the sweeter because of the amount of time we took to save and scrape it all together.

That's how we live, and it's so much better than buying this camper new and on credit, we scoured the internet for a whole year to find the right camper and yes it was hard, and at times, I began to wonder if maybe it was just a pipe dream of mine, but in the end, it fell into place perfectly with His timing, not mine. That's always better, to stand out of the way, and let God be the navigator.

Thank you to all of you that have been along with me on this year long journey. I'm so grateful to have been able to share our progress with you along the way. And don't forget, I'll have some cool 'before and after's' on the blog Wednesday along with a full source list. Have an awesome week y'all!

  4. Wow! I love all the special sweet touches throughout your redo and the most amazing part is that you have redone it yourself, and I know that is a sweet satisfaction in that! What a beautiful "home away from home" Can't wait to see your post on Friday with the before and after, and then of course... your first trip on the road in such a nice little getaway camper! I think my favorite touch that you added were the pillows - such fun, warm, and loving colors! I like the curtains too, a close second! Happy glamping :)

    1. You keep looking, and I promise, the perfect one will show up! And the bathroom, that was a biggie for me too, but we choose campsites right near the bath-house, and honestly it's been no biggie at all. No bathroom also means no mess to clean up too, making your camping experience easy breezy! Thanks for dropping by Susan!

  18. This is a pop-up camper. Does it fold up for travel and everything inside compact and compressible? I contemplated a pop-up but I would be traveling alone and not enough safety there. But it is so cute! Really cool ideas!

    1. It is a pop-up and it does fold up into a 12x12 box. Ours is a big one and when opened, it's nearly 23 feet, perfect for the five of us! There are lots of much smaller ones out there perfect for one or two. I've already traveled with just me and the kiddos and once I locked the door, I slept like a dream. If I were traveling all alone, I'd probably be looking for one of those little vintage travel trailers like the 'Shasta' brands, some of those are the perfect size, and if you get a fixer-upper, you can find them at a great price. Don't forget to scour Craigslist. Wishing you all the best in your search and future travels!

  19. I was wondering where you purchased the kitchen table? I think that type might work well in our travel trailer.

    Thank you in advance!!

    1. Hi Marilyn! That little dinette came with our pop up but I would think you may be able to find them at camper supply stores or scour Ebay perhaps. Have a wonderful and safe Fourth of July!

  20. This is so cute! I am starting to remodel my flagstaff pop up and was wondering how well the fabric used for your couch and dinette is holding up? I love it and am considering purchasing the same fabric.
    Thanks in advance!

    1. Thank you! We recently sold our pop-up and purchased an older Class C RV, but at the time of the sale, they were looking good. I'd give it a great rating and would use it again. Wishing you all the best on your re-model! Happy travels!
