Our Favorite Television Show E-V-E-R !!!!!

I promised I'd be back to share our most favorite show in-the-world, and being a lady of her word, here I am to share! If you missed my post on Friday about how our family ditched the t.v, for goodness sakes, follow this link and go catch up!

Now that we're all caught up, drum roll please, our favorite show is a BBC production titled "Lark Rise To Candleford". Best family show E-V-E-R! This is a show that we watch on the computer from Hulu. Hulu is a t.v internet service where we watch shows since we no longer have cable or satellite. You can also purchase the shows directly from Amazon. I adore period pieces and this one did not disappoint.

Not only did I fall in love with every character but the landscape is breathtaking to say the least. I found myself watching this show less for entertainment but more for therapeutic purposes. I'm not kidding. I would come to this show frazzled and leave restored. I would come to this show taking life for granted and leave feeling blessed and grateful. I've NEVER felt this way about ANY show before.

Each character is fully developed and the actors chosen for these roles were born to play these parts. And the caveat, our teen daughter {who typically frowns upon period pieces} has fallen in love with the show as well. Now that's big! A teenage girl growing up in this world with it's fast paces and electronics overload, loving the serenity of life in the late 19th century is quite a feat in itself!

Spoiler Alert: the show only ran for four seasons despite it's HUGE fan base. We've begun re-watching the episodes, which I never do, but it's just that good. So if you ever find yourself looking for a fantastic show that your whole family will love, "Lark Rise To Candleford" might just be for you! I loved it so much that I purchased Flora Thompson's book to use as a read aloud for our children.

I would gush on about this show for like ever, so I'll stop now so you can move on with your day. Your Welcome. Just go watch the show, will ya?!! Have a great Monday y'all!

  2. We both really enjoy Downton Abbey and period shows so we'll have to check this out. Looks like it's available on DVD via Netflix; added it to our queue!

    1. I really enjoyed Downton Abbey too, April. This show is similar but has small town folks as the characters and I could relate so well to their lives. Hope you guys enjoy the show!
