See that ladder on the front porch? He had just closed on the house a few hours before, ran right to Lowe's to buy a ladder, and immediately went to work on projects. That's my boy! Most certainly the child of a crazy DIY'er! He changed out the lights on the front porch and was waving paint chip samples at me when I came by trying to decide on a front door color. It has the most beautiful old windows. I just love old windows, don't you? Such charm.
And the back of the property is very secluded and wonderfully private. There's even a little brook that runs along the property line.
Yep, I'm one very happy and proud mama! Hopefully he'll slow down on the re-do's so I can get some "before" pictures! Stay tuned folks.....
That is one adorable little place!! Can't wait to see how he makes it his own, congrats to him!!

DeleteIt looks pretty great to me. I live in the city, but my ideal is to live out. This is beautiful! I love that front door.

I love the front door too! Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteThat house is beautiful! Now that it's just my husband and I, I can't wait to downsize into a small, cute house like that.
ReplyDeleteThanks @PolkaDotsandPaisley!
DeleteIt’s a privilege for every child to make their parents proud and happy. I’m glad that you appreciate the house your son bought you. It looks so homey, comfortable, refreshing and peaceful. You must be really grateful and proud of your son. Thanks for sharing that! Congratulations and all the best to you!

Your son's new home looks like a great purchase. For a first time buy it appears very substantial. My first purchase was a studio flat above a hairdresser's shop! Let's hope your son's enthusiasm for looking after this lovely place extends to the garden, which seems to be quite large with grass to cut and flower beds to weed.
